Google’s 2023 Ads Report: Record-High Ad Account Bans

Google’s 2023 Ads Safety Report shows that in the last year he removed or blocked a record 12.7 million advertiser accounts and 5.5 billion ads that violated its policies. These efforts are part of Google’s ongoing commitment to ensuring a secure online environment for both consumers and brands.

  • Enhanced Safety Measures: Google introduced 31 policy updates to combat scams and fraud. Noteworthy initiatives include the launch of the Ads Transparency Center and a Limited Ads Serving policy to limit the reach of less familiar advertisers.
  • AI’s Role: Artificial Intelligence is crucial in preemptively identifying and suspending fraudulent accounts, maintaining the integrity of Google’s ad network.
