YouTube Product Ads Now Feature “Store Pickup” Labels

Google is continuing its push to make YouTube a more commerce-friendly platform. At Google Marketing Live 2025, the company announced new features aimed at making YouTube ads more actionable, and we’re already seeing signs of that rollout.

One of the latest updates? Product ads on YouTube now include a “Store Pickup” label, showing viewers which items are available for local pickup. This move signals a deeper integration between YouTube ad formats and Google’s local inventory and retail surfaces.

Spotted by industry observers Arpan Banerjee and Adriaan Dekker, these new labels indicate a growing focus on local retail integration — giving users not just what to buy, but where and how to get it fast.

Why this matters:

  • Local availability drives urgency and convenience. By showing users that an item is ready for pickup nearby, YouTube ads can help move viewers from interest to purchase faster.

  • This update fits into Google’s broader strategy of turning video views into store visits and transactions.

  • Retailers using Google Merchant Center with local inventory feeds may already be eligible to have their products displayed this way across YouTube and other Google surfaces.
