YouTube has introduced a new feature in its Home Feed ads: swipeable product carousels. This change makes it easier for users to browse and click on multiple products directly from an ad. Here’s what you need to know.
What’s new?
YouTube ads now include a product carousel, where up to 5 products (possibly more) are displayed under the ad. When users click on a product, they’re taken directly to its page via the Shopping Feed.
This feature is part of Google’s Demand Gen campaigns, which are designed to drive engagement with visually appealing ads.
How it works
When a user clicks on a product in the carousel, they are instantly directed to the product’s page, streamlining the buying process. Additionally, products are also starting to appear under companion banners, signaling a stronger push from Google to use the Google Merchant Center Feed.
Why this matters
For advertisers, this update offers a great way to showcase multiple products in one ad, increasing the chances of converting viewers into buyers. If you’re already using Google Merchant Center, this could boost your ad performance.
