Google is rolling out new features to help advertisers enhance their campaigns with AI-powered image testing, audience-specific asset recommendations, and improved asset testing in Performance Max (PMax) campaigns. These updates provide more control, better targeting, and valuable insights to optimize your ad creatives. Here’s what you need to know:
1. AI-powered image testing & refinement
Advertisers now have more control over the images used in their campaigns. With AI-generated images, you can:
Add more detailed text prompts to refine images.
Hide or remove unwanted images.
Provide feedback for improvements.
Review and approve each image before it goes live.
This feature is available for PMax, Demand Gen, Display, and App campaigns in multiple languages. Google has also implemented safeguards to ensure quality and compliance. Check out the official blog (linked in comments) for more details.
2. Asset-audience recommendations
To help improve ad performance, Google is introducing asset-audience recommendations that suggest image themes and elements likely to resonate with specific audiences. Soon, AI-generated image suggestions will also be available, making it even easier to create engaging and relevant ad creatives.
3. Asset testing for PMax campaigns with product feeds
If you’re running a feed-only PMax campaign, a new beta experiment allows you to test the impact of adding additional creative assets. By incorporating more assets, you can expand your reach across Google’s inventory, improving ad placements and engagement. This testing feature helps advertisers understand the effectiveness of different asset combinations and optimize their campaigns accordingly.
