Meta’s New Creative Freshness & Mix Reports: What You Need to Know

Meta recently added two powerful tools to its ‘Account Insights’ dashboard: Creative Freshness and Creative Mix reports. These new features offer actionable insights to help advertisers enhance their creative strategies and optimize performance.

Accessing the reports

  • Navigate to ‘Ads Reporting’ in Meta’s Business Suite.
  • Open the ‘Account Insights’ dashboard.
  • Scroll down to find two new insight cards: Creative Freshness and Creative Mix.

Creative Freshness

The metric shows the average number of weekly new creatives. The graph shows the number of creatives that were added weekly. Meta recommends regularly adding new creatives to your ad set to prevent creative fatigue and lower your cost per result. A creative is defined as a ‘unique asset combination’. This includes any combination of media, such as images, videos, text, and more.

Creative Mix

This pie chart shows the ‘Amount spent percentage’ of media formats used across your ads. Meta recommends including of mix of formats, including images and videos to potentially drive more conversions. It’s a nice way to quickly monitor your current creative spending mix.

These new insights simplify the process of monitoring creative trends and adjusting strategies. By consistently refreshing your creatives and maintaining a diverse format mix, you’re more likely to see improved engagement and conversion rates.
