Google’s New Tool: Performance Max for Marketplace Sellers

Google Ads introduces Performance Max for Marketplaces. This new feature is specifically designed to amplify your presence and sales on various marketplaces without the need for a website or Google Merchant Center account.

Performance Max for Marketplaces is a targeted solution by Google Ads aimed at helping sellers reach a broader audience and drive sales directly on marketplace platforms. By connecting your Google Ads account to an eligible marketplace, you can create dynamic campaigns that direct potential customers to your marketplace listings.

Key benefits:

  1. Direct campaigns to marketplace listings: Create Performance Max campaigns that specifically promote your products on the marketplace, guiding shoppers directly to your listings.
  2. Utilize existing product data: Leverage the product information, prices, and images already on your marketplace to craft compelling ads. This integration simplifies the setup process, as there is no need for a separate Google Merchant Center account.
  3. Access detailed reporting: Monitor the performance of your campaigns through detailed reports available in Google Ads, giving you insights into customer behavior and campaign effectiveness.
  4. Leverage Google’s automation: Google’s advanced automation technology optimizes your ads across multiple channels, including Google Search and Google Shopping, ensuring your products reach the right audience at the right time.

 

Not all marketplaces are currently compatible with Performance Max for Marketplaces. Sellers should first contact their marketplace to inquire if they support this new feature. If they do, the next steps include linking your Google Ads account to the marketplace. The marketplace will initiate the account linking request, which you will need to accept in your Google Ads account using your account ID or email address.
