Google Merchant Center Lost Conversion Data in February

If you rely on Google Merchant Center for your conversion tracking and reporting, here’s an important update: Google Ads has confirmed that some conversion data from February 2025 has been lost—and unfortunately, it’s unrecoverable.

In a message shared publicly, Google acknowledged a temporary issue that affected the Google Merchant Center in February 2025. This issue led to missing conversion data for some advertisers, even if conversion tracking was already enabled.

The engineering team has since resolved the problem, and all systems are now functioning normally. However, any data lost during that period is permanently gone.

While frustrating, this serves as a reminder to regularly back up your key performance data when possible and monitor for discrepancies.
