Google has introduced a new “Share Ad Preview” button that allows the sharing of Performance Max advertising campaigns without the recipient needing a Google Ads account. PPC expert Scott Carruthers explained how you can find this new feature on his LinkedIn profile.
“A couple of weeks ago, Google introduced the ability to share previews of your Performance Max ads through an External Preview Link, much like you’ve been able to historically for Display campaigns.
Given the amount of variation in Performance Max, the placements available and the formats used, it’s always been difficult to show what your ads might look like to a client (short of them sitting with you through the Campaign creation) – which, in itself, can be a bit of a blocker to running Performance Max activity.
In today’s fast paced world of Responsive Ads – businesses not only want to understand where their ads will appear, but also what their ads look like – it’s all well and good listing the different Google properties and sharing the different assets, but what do the combinations of those assets look like?!
I love this update – as it should make it much easier to get client buy in on Performance Max, but should also allow you to troubleshoot any potential issues that may arise in the different combinations available.
Hit the “…” in the top right on any asset group > Preview Ads > Share > Copy Link. You’ll then get a URL that you can share with anyone (even someone without access to the Google Ads account)”, announced Carruthers on his LinkedIn profile.
