Google Analytics 4 Audience Builder Now on Google Ads

Google has introduced a new feature that enables the creation and application of Google Analytics 4 audiences directly within Google Ads. This integration allows marketers to gain a deeper understanding of their target audience, make informed decisions, and optimize their advertising strategies for better performance.

To further enhance audience analysis and reporting, Google Analytics 4 now offers additional dimensions across various features. These dimensions provide descriptive information that helps explain the data, such as audience names, user locations, and transaction IDs. The following GA4 features now support the new dimensions:

  1. Audience Builder
  2. Segment Builder
  3. Custom Reports Builder
  4. Data API
 
In Google Analytics 4, there are two types of dimensions: predefined dimensions and custom dimensions. 

Predefined dimensions are ready-to-use dimensions that are already available, such as “age,” “country,” and “browser.” These dimensions usually do not require additional code for data collection. On the other hand, custom dimensions offer the flexibility to track and report on specific details about users and their interactions with websites or apps.
 
With the recent update, Google Analytics 4 has introduced item-scoped custom dimensions, which are specifically related to products or services sold on an online store. Marketers can now utilize these custom dimensions in the audience builder, segment builder, custom reports builder, and the Data API.
