How Google’s AI Generated Overview Beta Enhances Your Ad Performance Analysis

Google Ads users, there’s a new feature: the AI Generated Overview Beta. This tool appears above the account level summary, providing valuable insights into your campaign performance.

The AI Overview offers a performance summary of the last 28 days compared to the previous period. It automatically identifies key metrics, such as an increase in conversion value across enabled campaigns.

Interestingly, the AI Overview suggests possible reasons for changes in your metrics. For instance, it might indicate that a change in bid strategy targets contributed to the increase in conversion value. However, always consider external factors as well.

Detailed insights

By clicking on “View Details,” a more comprehensive window opens up, revealing:

  • Top contributing campaigns with increased conversion value and specific changes in values per campaign.
  • Possible reasons for the increase, including detailed changes in your bidding strategy (e.g., ROAS reduced from 600% to 570%).
