Exciting AI-driven enhancements are on the horizon for Demand Generation campaigns, promising to elevate your visual storytelling. By utilizing generative image tools, you can easily create a wide array of captivating visuals in just seconds with the help of generative AI feature integrated in Demand Gen campaigns.
With generative image tools, you can efficiently experiment with new creative concepts, whether it’s testing different image styles or starting from scratch. Your input is key in helping Google AI generate images that are tailored to your business or client’s needs. For instance, if you operate a furniture e-commerce store, you could input prompts like “modern living room furniture in a cozy, urban loft setting” to generate images that appeal to customers seeking contemporary interior design inspiration.

How can you navigate it?
Here is the walkthrough and how to navigate to the feature inside GA.
After you click on “Generate Images” you will be taken onto the next step where you need to describe what kind of image you need with an option to provide really detailed context to the AI with up to 1500 characters of what kind of image you need and AI will provide images based on the query.
If the initial set of images doesn’t meet expectations for any reason, you can request to “Generate more” images.
You’ll have complete control over selecting which suggested images are included in your campaigns.
Google has introduced a “Creative Excellence Guide” to complement the new AI tools, offering the following best practices for developing Demand Generation campaigns:
Utilize a mix of videos and images to captivate audiences at various stages of the buyer journey – Craft a compelling brand narrative by blending video and image creatives. This approach allows you to leverage a mix of videos and images, expanding your campaign’s reach across all available inventory and formats.
Provide Google with a range of assets in different aspect ratios to expand reach across inventory – Prioritize assets that feel native to each platform. For example, when creating YouTube Shorts, prioritize vertical video that’s relatable, authentic, and connects with your audience.
Employ high-quality, high-resolution visuals to establish brand credibility and motivate action – Start by reusing high-performing, inspirational imagery from existing social platforms to save time and showcase your brand at its best. Then, continue optimizing your creatives to improve relevance on YouTube and Google
Implement a test-and-learn approach, assessing performance metrics to refine creatives. Review segment by ad format reporting to further diagnose how your ads are performing across key formats: YouTube Shorts, in-stream, and in-feed. Run A/B experiments for Demand Gen to test the effectiveness of your creatives across different surfaces by creating head-to-head tests in a clean environment.
Harness the power of generative AI to improve your visual storytelling in Demand Generation campaigns on Google Ads. With this technology, you can efficiently create a variety of engaging visuals, test new creative concepts, and optimize campaigns for maximum impact. Elevate your advertising strategy, ensuring your brand stands out and resonates with your audience.
