A subtle but impactful update just rolled out in Google Ads’ Performance Max campaigns: all five description fields now support up to 90 characters.
Previously, one of the five slots was limited to just 60 characters, which often led to uneven messaging and forced advertisers to trim key info. With this update, you now get consistent space across all description lines, making it easier to write clear, compelling copy without compromise.
This change was first spotted by Yash Mandlesha and Adriaan Dekker.
