In March 2023, Google began testing a new design for the Google Ads advertiser console. The wait is almost over! Starting on August 30, 2024, this new design will be rolled out to all advertisers, and the old design will be sunset.
This means that only the new Google Ads design will be available on desktop. However, Google assured advertisers that they will continue to fully support existing features and tools.
So, what’s new in the updated design? The new layout includes a main menu on the left of the screen, with pages organized into five high-level categories:
- Campaigns: Analyze, optimize, and manage your campaigns.
- Goals: Define, monitor, and update your conversion goals.
- Tools: Access tools for planning, bidding and budgets, troubleshooting, asset library, and audience management.
- Billing: Monitor your spend and payments.
- Admin: Manage your team, security, and account settings.

Google highlighted that this extra level of categorization makes the new design more effective for both new and experienced advertisers. Additionally, a Search bar at the top helps users quickly find what they are looking for.
As you explore the new design, Google encourages you to share your feedback through the “Leave feedback” option in the Help menu.
