Google has recently announced a change that will affect many Google Ads advertisers. If you have any active Google Ads experiments without an end date, they will now be assigned a default end date of August 23, 2024.
What you need to know
- New default end date: Starting from June 1, 2024, all current Campaign Experiments that do not have an explicitly specified end date will automatically be set to end on August 23, 2024.
- Adjustable end dates: You still have the flexibility to adjust the end dates for your ads at any time to prevent them from expiring automatically.
Communication from Google
Thomas Eccel shared an email from Google on X, which reads:
You’re receiving this message because your Google Ads account has Campaign Experiments without an end date specified.”
Here is a screenshot of the email:
To avoid any disruptions, make sure to review and update the end dates for your active experiments.
